so you know jelly bracelets? circa 1980s, madonna had em, and now they're back with a vengeance?
turns out they have a sexual connotation behind them *gasp*!
i dunno who thought this up, but here's how it goes. you wear these little multi-colored gummi rings on your wrist and one breaks. if someone else is with you, or actually breaks it (on purpose or not, but MOSTLY on purpose.. if theyre a guy) you have to do stuff with them.
and i didn't know this until our store manager jen told us this morning.. like no one @ work knew! we were just all like "damn, we are selling so many of these jelly bracelets! they sure are popular!"
which is hilarious because now it makes perfect sense. lauren is the "hottie" of all the employees. guys come in all the time asking for lauren. you just look at her and what she's wearing.. it screams SEX. short little tight top, tight low-rise jeans, chucks and long blonde ringlets with the prettiest face. like an all-american shakira, with 3/4 less hips.
anyways, i digress.. three guys came and bought or had black bracelets on. they said something to the effect of, "man! if lauren breaks these, it'll be all three of us!!" and laughed like little mischeivious boys. jen told lauren that this morning and she was mortified.
so.. note to self: don't wear jelly bracelets at work.. wrist cuffs are fine :)
