this was definetely one of those days where you know you shouldn't have gotten out of bed.
*sigh* if only i did.
okay, picture this: driving down riva road towards annapolis. pass annapolis high school, the turn-off to the mva, go through some intersections. get to the light where you turn left to get onto 95 or 50 (the light at mike higham's lexus of annapolis).
it's raining. no wait, i take it back. it's pouring. the light is green, and it has been for a while now. as i approached the light i slowed down in anticipation of the very-quick yellow light that immediately turns red. it's still green, so i continue driving. turning left onto the ramp. going not fast at all. my car hates the rain and decides to lose all control and hydroplane. the back fishtails as i careen into the left curb and hop it.
but oh wait, the fun doesn't stop there! if you know what i'm talking about, this curb is rather high, and has large jagged grey rocks. i am now off-road on these rocks. for what seems like an eternity.. in slowwww-motion. driving on these stupid rocks, knowing i'm gonna die. my steering wheel won't work on this strange driving condition (duh!) so i'm like "oh my God". the car magically falls back onto the ramp and i hit.. no one. it's like the Lord was watching over me or something. in complete shock, i drive the rest of the way to anne arundel, shaking the whole way. i park in a space and get out. the drivers side corner panel (by the trunk) is smashed in and scratched by what looks like a rock. i have no left taillight or blinker. just a crunched up hole where a piece of orange/red plastic should be, and dangling is the wires which used to hold a lightbulb. my trunk still opens. i climb back in my car and call my mom. and bust out crying.
"i could've died!", i told mom. "i can't call dad, he's gonna kill me!"
if you don't know my dad, he's very overprotective. every morning when i leave for school, or anytime i leave the house he says not to speed and drive carefully. i didn't speed.
michelle- my sister, drives a rodeo. she said her car hydroplanes going 5 mph.
so it really wasn't my fault, but it's over $900 damage. plus i haveta get a rental car when it goes in the shop for like four days.
from now on, i'm gonna drive especially careful and safe. just like julian!
on a lighter note, i got a B on my human cloning honors paper so yay!
well i gotta study jazz dance for a test tomorrow!
xoxo
