Hi everyone!
It's been nice, being able to read how each of you are doing now in your spare time since high school is over.
So yesterday was the final day of tryouts.. ick. I had fun now that I think of it. I tried. Not my hardest though. But afterwards, Erin, Megan, Nicole and I headed to the place that all South River Dancers go after a hard days work..
Not the strip club.. or the mall..
Nothin says America like stuffing your face at McDonalds!
We all wallowed in our dignity, or what was left of it, in greasy fries and a burger; and then went on our little way. None of us thought we were gonna make the company.
And we were right.
Erin and Megan, South Rivers Captains of Team AND Company for 2 years didn't make it, Nicole, the best damn dancer I've ever seen didn't make it, Amy, whose been dancing since she could walk didn't make it, and neither did I.
Oh yeah, John Gurtshaw was there too. He didnt either. (He's gonna be a Theatre major)
In a way.. it's good. I have WAY too many papers to write in one semester and projects and more crap that 18 credit hours takes up. So spring semester I'll tryout again. Work on my technique, fix my turn-out, get more flexible, eat better.. and take like 5 dance classes and one science lab haha.
I don't like to whine. Whiners annoy me. So I will try my hardest not to be one.
I'm not sad or disappointed I didn't make it really. I'm just surprised the other 4 girls didn't!
